The History of Ziegler Tools
Ziegler Tools started as a one-man operation in 1948. It
began with William R. Ziegler selling Cornwell automotive tools out of
the trunk of his car to repair shop owners and full service gas stations.
With focus, determination, integrity, hard work and a great sense
for business, Mr. Ziegler made his company thrive.
Ford Motor was the company's first major account and was serviced by Mr.
Ziegler. Later, his brother Frank joined the company and developed
other customers such as Delta Airlines, General Motors and Lockheed Aircraft.
By 1959, the company represented many industrial manufacturers in
addition to Cornwell. Thus, W.R. Ziegler appropriately changed the name
to Ziegler Tools, Inc.
In 1976, the corporate office moved from a little building
on Luckie Street to a new facility on Marietta Street across from The
Georgia Institute of Technology campus. In June of 2001, Ziegler
Tools expanded again and moved its corporate office to its current location
on Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

Ziegler Tools is well embedded in the field of industrial
distribution and is considered one of the most respected distributors
in the industry.
History in the Making
In January of 1998, William R. Ziegler, Jr. was promoted
to president of Ziegler Tools. He believes growth and leadership
in the industry depend
mainly on the energy and efforts of a company's employees. "The
commitment and focus of all our people have enabled Ziegler Tools to meet
and exceed our customers' expectations." W.R.Z., Jr.
is also firmly dedicated to Ziegler Tools' core business philosophy of
value-added service. "Our customers are our partners.
Their goals are our goals. As the industry continues to evolve,
we will continue to adapt to the changing needs of our customers and build
on the strength of our teamwork and move forward in achieving our mutual
success."
